I just finished watching the network Tv show "Heroes" for the first time ever. My theory remains the same. Tv= Garbage. Cartoons= Amazing. Good Movies=Golden.
Maybe it's my fault that I'm not dedicated enough to having relationships with people I don't know or can have a conversation with, without looking like a lunatic. I mean I guess I could talk to my television if i talk to my laptop, dogs and lizards. I just get lost in television shows that require "catching up on". Feel me?
I admit... there are a few shows that I'm in to, i.e. Entourage, Californication, and Weeds. HBO is king. Otherwise, If I wanted to observe peoples lives outside of myself I'd go out into the world and create it, live it or write a story, read a book, listen to music, ride a bike, have a conversation with a complete stranger, get to know my neighbors and my social surroundings. And if the weather is supremely shitty outside and I am absolutely alone and in desperate need of human entertainment or response, I'd sit on chatroulette/skype with the rest of the creepers and have a conversation with my computer. At least in that sense the person behind the screen responds. lol. I'm not hating... I'm just saying we all need our fixes...
Me? I prefer strong acting skillz and voiceovers set to amazing artistry in cartoons and animation vs. weird plot lines and dramatized human gestures of chopped ADD TV shows that have a slew of commercials sandwiched between "cliffhanger" scenes.
I grew up watching rediculous movies like the Princess Bride, Indiana Jones, Rushmore, Ghostbusters and Amadeus. All in which have some sort of adventurous love fantasy element. As far as cartoons, I watch/watched Fox, WB, and Nickelodeon cartoons 24/7. To me those acting skills rank supreme over modern actors.
Anyways. Back to making a point. I appreciate the media to a certain degree, I just prefer excluding television shows that have no interest to me. I'm not saying don't ask me about Tv, I'm just saying I probably didn't see it unless it was on 5 of the 3 channels tI watch regularly. (yes I'm laughing in sarcasm to myself)
